Boughton House, Geddington, Kettering NN14 1BJ, UK – 01536 515731
Spectacular house, full of wonders. Grounds very beautiful, lakes and canals and grass and trees. Walled garden very lovely and romantic. I take issue with 'john' who complains about the guide and the concentration on family history. Family history can be dull but as most of the treasures are family related, and most of the paintings are portraits, you can't know why they're there or what you're looking at without knowing who the people are. The painting in the Great Hall, of the Countess of Southhampton combing her hair in a beautiful flower-embroidered jacket, is one of the great English portraits
Tours around the house are very informative and well paced. The grounds are very well kept and easily navigated. The cafe is large with plenty of seating, the choice of food is limited. This venue is a little pricey in all areas with nothing in the way of concessions. An interesting afternoon out.

This is a great place for kids of all ages. Lots of open space. Affordable and a choice of activity. I would suggest get there early and do the things which might have queues later and then enjoy the park. We did the zip wire which is very long and I am told travels at 40mph - book the zip online before going. Lots of toilets, bins and others things which you can never find at other places. Helpful staff. Parking was also plentiful and affordable - around £6 for the day.
This is a great place. A great day out with the kids to play and have fun. Bring a picnic or you can buy food from the many burger stalls.there is plenty of room to bring a dog for long walks here. There is a wide variety of kids amusements from kids to teens. Small rollercoasters and round abouts water log flumes and the oldest water flume in England. The parking prepare to spend £6 per car for 3+, hours. There is a huge amount of room to roam around the gardens and parks. Enjoy your day
