You can always get an appointment on the day if you ring between 8 and 9. The doctors are lovely and have been great with me during my ill health.
Majority of receptionist are very rude. I understand very popular and busy surgery but no need for rudeness, over phone and in surgery. Doctors have always been lovely from my experience though it's just the reception that lets it down. They make you not want to talk to them about anything which then prevents you from getting the correct help or appointment. Being involved with a very serious incident and still being spoken to like I was a nusence

Friendly staff! Not a long wait for appointments! Fantastic doctors :)
I find this doctors really good. Every time I ring for my daughter they try to get her in asap. I have never waited that long for a appointment or treatment. The midwifes and health visitors, are really helpful

Just came across these experiences of Weavers Medical Centre. My experience began thirty two years ago.Recently,I saw a sign on the reception desk, stating abuse of staff will not be tolerated.to have to put this there makes me both sad,and angry.During my many years as a patient at Weavers, not once have I ever had to complain,or feel "disgusted"a word used by a few people, because an appointment was not available, exactly when it was convenient for me. I Have always been offered an alternative one,by very pleasant and helpful receptionists, who try to fit me in at a suitable time.If these people need appointments, they surely should be grateful to be available for a time when one is offered, and be extremely grateful for it,not assume they are entitled to abuse the staff, hence the necessity of the sign on the reception desk.People should be reminded that this vital service is free, show respect to the Doctors who treat them with respect, and if they cannot understand what the Doctor says, that is not the fault of the Doctor, but the fault of the person who doesn't learn English, and for some unknown reason, believes they are entitled to be rude, and abusive. I Wonder,if these people think that an interpreter should be available for their convenience. We are very fortunate to have such an amazing Medical Centre as Weaves, and I for one, will not tolerate or listen to any ignorance regarding it.Try some of the others.
I have been with this surgery for over 25 years and on the whole the service has been excellent. I have always been able to get a same-day appointment when needed. If they don't have appointment spaces a GP will ring you and either give you advice or make you an appointment if it is urgent. I think patients sometimes fail to appreciate how busy the GPs, nurses and staff are and not expect a same-day appointment for minor issues.
